CBSE 12th grade results: Indian School Sohar breaks record in AISSCE




Muscat: The exuberance of success was visible in the Indian School Sohar premises. The Indian School Sohar has proved its class in the All India Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (12th Class) conducted by CBSE in March, 2014, producing the best ever result.

All the 69 students who took the examination this year, 53 in the Science stream and 16 in the Commerce stream, were successful — achieving a 100 per cent success for the school. Sushanti Ritraj with 95.6 per cent  stands as the topper  in the school, closely followed by Hetanxi Hemant Singadia with 93 per cent in the second position and Shivani Pandey with 91.8 per cent in the third position.

T V Pavithra was the top scorer in English with 96 per cent marks, while 48 students out of 69 scored 90 per cent and above.  In Mathematics 14 students scored above 95 per cent while 17 students scored above 90, in Physics, Sushanti Ritraj was the top scorer with 95 per cent;  in Chemistry Shivani Pandey topped with 95 per cent while  6 students scored above 90 per cent; in  Biology, Krishnendu Menon scored 96 while 7 students scored above 90 per cent;  in Informatics Practices Sushanti Ritraj was the top achiever with 99 per cent marks while 33 students scored above 90 per cent.

The school has produced its first batch in Commerce stream with a 100 per cent pass. Alphonso Delisia Leslie with 88.2 per cent, stands as the topper closely followed by Hajwani Amra Riyaz  with 84 per cent and Salina Salim with 81.8 per cent in the second and  third position respectively.

Members of the School Managing Committee and Principal Sanchita Verma congratulated the students on their spectacular performance. They also appreciated the staff for their sincere team effort and the parents for their extensive support. The result reflects the thrust given to the academics, conducting special classes for the students who needed special care and guidance.

Most parents and toppers mentioned that their achievement was a result of the consistent teaching performance and dedication of the senior teachers and the futuristic vision of the Principal
